Evidence 1: Internal Assessment

My internal assessment was about the damages we do to coral reefs as individuals, and about finding a way to reduce our negative impact. Therefore, after conducting an extended investigation I came to the conclusion that our carbon footprint is a big contribution to the extinction of coral reefs. I then went on to propose ways in which we can reduce said carbon footprint in order to stop the coral reef's ongoing extinction.

Throughout this internal assessment I learnt that we all have an impact in our world, and we decide whether it is positive or negative. Our actions matter and it is the smallest of changes that have the power to change the world. It's not okay to say we're going to leave the job to big corporations because every single one of our actions can save and destroy our planet.

Finally, I believe that I proved to be caring because I sincerely concerned myself with the issue, and decided to take action by changing my habits. I was congruent with my work, and my actions and I know am a much more conscious citizen of the world.

Evidence 2: Avocado seed

For this project we were told to plant and watch an avocado seed grow in water. We monitored the progress over the weeks and we recorded the changes. I must say I am very proud of my results because I quite literally saw life grow. That's amazing.

Through this project I got to experience something new and beautiful; the ability of creating life for the planet. I remember the feeling of satisfaction and gratitude while working on this project. It's something I will carry with me forever. I also learnt that I am capable of making small difference every day, and that I have the responsibility to do so.

I demonstrated that I am principled. I live by a code, and I know I have an ethical responsibility to the Earth. I showed that I take action of what I believe is right.

Evidence 3: IB paper 2 Mock

This paper took a lot of effort and studying from me. I got a 6 IB which an amazing grade considering that 7 is the highest IB grade. I studied a lot for this exam, and practiced for days to make sure I knew everything I needed to. From this experience I learned that studying pays off, and it will give me good results it just requires a little extra effort.

In the future I can apply the knowledge I got from Enviromental Systems and Societies into a better world. I can influence people to do better and inspire with my knowledge. This exam showed that I am a communicator because I managed to explain very well two open questions that required argumenation. I combined my acquired knowledge with my moral and ethic, and gave really good answers.
